Deanne Temple was born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1973 but grew up all over Australia.  Her childhood was spent living with her family in the Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales before finally settling back in Queensland on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

 

When her senior high school art teacher asked Deanne if she would like to go to Art College after high school Deanne scoffed at the idea, unable to see any value or skill in the work she was producing.  She went on to join the workforce but continued to create for her own enjoyment and education.

 

Twenty years and a Bachelor in Arts Degree later Deanne’s collection of drawings, doodlings and subject studies have resolved themselves into a series of characters just asking to be introduced to the world...

 

Deanne has illustrated a series of children’s characters and written a short moralistic story to help engage a young reader. Living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast Queensland Deanne spends what she calls her ‘sane’ time creating.

 

Deanne know that the future for a children’s book illustrator is to have a bio that reads about her living happily somewhere beautiful with a husband, a couple of kids and a menagerie of animals, but for the present she is too busy to pursue this end path.  So her bio reads, Deanne continues to follow her creative path wherever it leads her.
